Akshay Kumar is busy promoting his upcoming movie "Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) and in a media interaction, the superstar revealed a gist of the film's plot.
Directed by Prabhu Deva, "Singh Is Bliing" features Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson as love birds while Lara Dutta apparently plays an antagonist in the movie.
Talking about the plot of "Singh Is Bliing", Akshay Kumar revealed how Lara Dutta would create problems in his love story as he and Amy Jackson are unfamiliar with each other's language.
"The whole story is that Amy doesn't know how to speak Hindi and I don't know how to speak English and our romance has started. But there is a communication gap. She can't understand me and I can't get a word of what she says. So we call for a translator and Lara is the translator. The whole film is about how she messes up my love story. Because if the translator is messing things up, then the whole story is going to go haywire and that's what this beautiful love story is all about," Bollywoodlife quoted Akshay Kumar as saying.
Lara Dutta also commented on the film's story. "Her (Amy's) name is Emily and Akshay can't pronounce it so he calls hers 'Imli'. So, I am the one with the 'khatta' name. She is a quirky, geeky character who steps into a situation and reads it completely wrong. Emily has her own agenda and she thinks that Akshay is the biggest goon. So, she has her own translations to whatever she wants and messes up the whole situation."
Apart from Akshay, Amy and Lara, "Singh Is Bliing" also features Kay Kay Menon who is reportedly the main villain in the movie. The film is slated to be released on 2 October.
