Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's hiatus has been the talk of the town for the longest time, and now that the former beauty queen is all set to be back on the big screen, fans can't stop speculating her two interesting releases – Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa" and Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".
While she has kick-started shooting of her upcoming action-drama, the latest development on the other film is that Saif Ali Khan has been roped in to star alongside the gorgeous actress. According to a Bollywood Life report, the nawab has finally said yes to the project, putting to rest speculations surrounding the cast of the film.
Earlier, Saif had denied that he was approached to be part of Karan's directorial, but considering the kind of best-bud friendship wifey Kareena Kapoor Khan shares with the director, it isn't too hard to guess why Saif gave his nod.
The report also stated that he has been signed to play Aishwarya's husband in the film. It would be interesting to see this fresh pair romance each other on the silver screen.
Interestingly, while Saif took pretty long to say yes, Karan had to make some effort to rope in the gorgeous actress as well. It has been widely reported that he lost his sleep over Aishwarya's initial reluctance to accept the offer and even messaged her that he would not be able to make the film without her.
Essentially, "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" is a story of love, relationships and heartbreaks featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma as leads. Although the Bachchan bahu will be seen in a supporting role, Karan reportedly convinced her it would be an interesting and different one.
Slated for release on 3 June 2016, the film will be shot across New York, Paris and London. Pritam has been entrusted with the job of churning interesting compositions for it.
