After a month of testing, LG commenced the release of Android Marshmallow to 2013 flagship G3 in select European markets.

LG Poland took to Twitter to confirm the news. Curently, the update is available through manual download from PC. LG G3 owners just have to connect their device to the computer with LG PC suite installed in it. Then, upgrade to the latest firmware.

People who are not tech savvy are advised to wait for OTA (Over-The-Air) update. It is expected to commence in the coming days.

How to check for OTA update on Android phone:

Go to Settings >> About Phone >> System updates >> check

Since the OTA update is carried out in a phased manner, it may take a few weeks to reach all corners.

So far, the company has released Android Marshmallow update to LG G3 only in Poland. If history is taken as any indication, LG is expected to expand the roll-out process to European regions, South Korea and later to other Asian and American markets.

Other LG devices, which are slated to receive the update, include LG Flex 2 and T-Mobile variants of G3 and G Stylo.
