Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is reportedly planning to launch a new handset Marathon M5 in India next week.

The main attribute of the Marathon M5 is its high-capacity battery. It houses a massive 6020 mAh cell, which no other smartphone in the industry boasts of.

The uniqueness of the device is that it has two separate cells having 3010 mAh capacity each, enough to power the phone for four full days once fully charged.

Other stipulated features include 5.5-inch HD AMOLED screen, Android Lollipop OS, 64-bit class Mediatek quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 13mp camera on the back and a 5mp snapper on the front.

Gionee is hosting an official Marathon M5 launch event in Bengaluru on 24 November, reports Phone Arena.
