Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's steamy scenes in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil have been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Initial reports were that Amitabh Bachchan, father-in-law of Aishwarya, was not quite pleased with the steamy scenes and the latest reports suggest that the censor board has asked the makers to chop off the lovemaking sequences.

The Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) issued a UA certificate (fit for viewing by children but only under parental guidance). But asked the makers to cut three intimate scenes between Ranbir and Aishwarya in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

"Karan Johar personally attended the censor viewing of his film. He wanted to make sure not a single moment was tampered with. However, the Censor Board members, while appreciating the film's mature theme and high level of aesthetics, objected to some steamy moments between Aishwarya and Ranbir," DNA quoted a source as saying.

Karan argued, saying that the intimate scenes were an important part of the film, but the censor board was adamant. The director chopped off the three scenes, including the one which is shown in the trailer, DNA reported.

In September, gossip mills were abuzz with the news that Big B was angry with the intimate scenes between Ranbir and Aishwarya and the actor refused to promote the film for the same. There were even reports that Amitabh approached Karan to remove the intimate scenes.

However, when Amitabh was asked about the same, he replied saying that he hasn't watched the trailer of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil or the film's songs. "I haven't seen the trailer or songs yet," he said during a media interaction.
