It is time for the entertainment world to get rid of re-runs and reality shows as the small-screen is set to be back with new storylines this fall and CBS has added a new name to the list "Madam Secretary".

The new drama series on CBS, starring actress Tea Leoni, is scheduled for a Sunday premiere between "60 Minutes" and "The Good Wife", which will kick off from 21 September at 8.30 pm.

Here are Five Reasons on Why to Watch the Series:

Actress Tea Leoni Makes a Comeback On-screen: Through "Madam Secretary", Leoni will be making a comeback to her glamorous career after 16 years and it will be her first on-screen appearance as a lead role on CBS.

The 48-year-old actress revealed that she could not turn down the offer as it deals with the life of a strong woman named Elizabeth McCord. "I'll regret it if I don't do this. She's a different kind of woman than we've ever seen on television or in politics," Leoni told Parade Daily.

Excellent Casting: Other cast members in the series, including Tim Daly as Henry McCord (Elizabeth's husband), Bebe Neuwirth as Nadine Tolliver (Elizabeth's Chief of Staff), Željko Ivanek as Russell Jackson (White House Chief of Staff), Geoffrey Arend as Matt Mahoney (Elizabeth's speech writer) and Keith Carradine as President Conrad Dalton, are known for their excellent performance as well as for bringing more to their characters.

Out-of-the-blue Storyline: "Madam Secretary" revolves around the life of Elizabeth McCord, a former CIA analyst turned college professor, who unexpectedly becomes the Secretary of State. She gets involved into state affairs after the suspicious death of her predecessor. Impressed with her qualities, such as political leanings, flair for languages, deep knowledge about the Middle East and the ability to do things out of the box, the President appoints her in the position.

Focuses on Woman Accessorize Power: McCord, who lives with her husband Henry (Tim Daly) and their children, turns out to be a shrewd and determined officer. She battles office politics, derives international diplomacy and circumvents protocol as she negotiates global as well as domestic issues.

Series to Deal with Real-life Events: "Madam Secretary" is expected to win the hearts of the viewers as it will be dealing with the recent real-life events in the middle-east, including the recent execution of American hostages, reports Daily News.

During her tenure as the Secretary of State, McCord will have to face several major international issues. Her first task will be to deal with Syrian Government for the release of two American teenagers, whom the militants have taken into custody and threatened to execute.
