Malayalam actress and television anchor Shilpa Bala entered into wedlock with Vishnu Gopal in a star-studded ceremony at Akash Convention Centre in Kanhangad on Thursday. Several photos and videos of the wedding have been posted on social media under #thevishwedding.
The wedding, sangeet and haldi ceremonies saw the presence of Shilpa's friends in the industry, including Bhavana, Mrudula Murali, Rachana Narayanankutty, Ramya Nambeeshan, Manikuttan, Hemanth Menon, Shafna Nizam, Rajith Menon and Vijay Yesudas.
The actress was engaged to the Thiruvananthapuram-based doctor in November 2015. Now, receptions will also be arranged in Thiruvananthapuram and Dubai.
Shilpa began her acting career with director Sohanlal's first movie "Orkkuka Vallappozhum," in which she played dual roles. Later, she was part of Malayalam films "Chemistry" and "Aagathan." She is also a familiar face for the television audience in Kerala for hosting shows "Comedy Express" on Asianet and the Dubai special episodes of "Dhe Chef" on Mazhavil Manorama.
