Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal has been one of the most appreciated movies of this year, but the biopic was not included among the nominations for IIFA 2017.

Although Dangal had the potential to bag many awards, the movie was not nominated for any category, and the reason is little absurd.

It has been confirmed that the makers of Dangal did not complete the formalities required for a film to be nominated in the awards. "So basically, in IIFA, forms are sent to various production houses. They fill those forms up and send it back to us. Those forms are then put out to the industry for voting and from there it becomes a nomination," Pinkvilla quoted producer and creator of IIFA Andre Timmins as saying.

"So, Dangal has not sent their entry in. We would love Dangal to be a part of it. I think it's a movie that's broken all records. We love Aamir Khan and the two little girls. They did a great job. But unfortunately, they didn't send their entry in. We feel sad," he added.
