Aamir Khan fans in Mumbai woke up to the cover story of a tabloid where his successful efforts to save the life of National Film Award-winning sound designer Shajith Koyeri were listed. As the day progressed, the story went viral and fans showered love on Aamir Khan for his humanitarian effort for his crew member of the film Dangal.

The story in Mumbai Mirror says that Aamir Khan was contacted by the family of Dangal sound designer Shajith Koyeri. The family claimed that the doctor was being lax in the sound designer's treatment.

Aamir Khan took action in the wee hours and reportedly contacted the Anil Ambani family to get Koyeri admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri west, Mumbai. The sound designer had suffered a stroke on September 7 after being admitted to Lilavati hospital with high levels of creatinine. He also suffered a heart attack, according to the doctors at Lilavati.

Fans of Aamir Khan appreciated his efforts to save the life of the sound designer and tweeted the story. "As an Aamir Khan fan I feel very proud of what he has done. Shajith Koyeri get well soon. We all are praying for you," said his fan M Ajith. Take a look at some tweets.

Doctors at Lilavati denied any delay in treatment, and said that the patient had kidney problems and also suffered a cardiac arrest. Dr Hemant Mehta, consultant nephrologist, told Mumbai Mirror that when Koyeri was admitted to the hospital he was on the verge of kidney failure. "He was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome. He also suffered from piles, and had to be given blood transfusion to make up for the blood loss," Dr Mehta said.

After doctors noticed right eye paralysis, Koyeri was sent for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test and then shifted to intensive care where he suffered a heart attack. Koyeri is now under treatment at the Kokilaben hospital after Aamir Khan's timely help.

We wish a speedy recovery to Shajith Koyeri, even as his family is taking care of him and is full of gratitude for Aamir Khan.
