The wait is finally over, and the much-anticipated 67th national film awards were announced today. Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush have shared the best actor award for their performances in the movie Bhonsle and Asuran respectively. Priyadarshan's Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham starring Mohanlal in the lead role bagged the award for the best picture.

It is Mohanlal's performance in the movie 'Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham' that helped him to reach the final stage of this competition. On the other hand, Parthiban's performance in Otha Seruppu Size 7 made him compete with Mohanlal to win the title of best actor. 

Mohanlal's Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham has received seven nominations, which include Best Actor, Best Film, Best Director, and Best Cinematography.
