Finally, it's here. The much-awaited 2015 Volkswagen Vento has been launched in India at a sticker price of ₹ 7.70 lakh.

Volkswagen pulled the wraps off its new 2015 Vento facelift in India on 23 June (Tuesday).

The bookings for the facelifted avatar of Vento are underway in the country at the company's dealerships for an advance payment ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹75,000.

The new Volkswagen Vento facelift, which will take on the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna 4S in India, is expected be priced higher than the existing model.

From a visual point of view, the facelift will get new reworked front bumper with three-slat chrome grille and larger air dam. As for features, the new Volkswagen Vento will include dead pedal, auto-folding electronically adjustable ORVMs, Cruise control and cooled glovebox.

Under the hood, the new Vento facelift is likely to pack the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, which can churn out 103.5bhp power @4,400rpm and 250Nm of peak torque @1,500-2,500rpm with five-speed manual transmission and seven-speed DSG automatic and 1.2-litre TSI and 1.6-litre MPI engines. The 1.6 MPI is expected to return a mileage of 16.09 kmpl and the 1.2 TSI and 1.5 MT are likely to deliver 18.19 kmpl and 20.4 kmpl, respectively. The mileage for the 1.5 DSG is likely to be 21.5 kmpl.
