While we still wait for the official launch of Maruti's much-anticipated Swift facelift in India, a report by an automobile website revealed the variant-wise features and design of the upcoming car.

The variant details comes courtesy to the good chaps at IndianAutos Blog, who got the tidbit from their sources, claiming that the all variants of upcoming Swift facelift will pack changes and it looks like most of the changes are made to the top-end variants of the car.

Going by the report, the new avatar of Swift will get driver-seat height adjustment as standard across all variants and VXi / VDi variants will feature an integrated music system with 4 speakers.

Now what comes as a disappointment is that the Swift facelift will not get LED daytime-running lights in India like its international counterparts.

While the V and Z trims of Swift facelift will pack power-folding wing mirrors and silver L-shaped elements for fog light enclosures, the high-end models of Swift ZXi/ZDi are slated to get reverse-parking sensors, Bluetooth, and engine-starter button.

The report also claims that the Swift facelift will get the same engine of its current model with mild tweaks to deliver better performance and more mileage. The current Swift model gets power from 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engines with a fuel efficiency of 18.6kmpl for petrol and 22.9kmpl for diesel.

Previous reports said the bookings for new Swift facelift are open in India with an advance payment of 10,000 and the dealers across the country are expecting to get the first batch of the new car soon.

Now what we do not know is the exact launch date of new hot hatch in the country, however, from what we have heard, Maruti is likely to break the cover of its new Swift by the end of this month. Yes it is not far!

When launched, Maruti Swift facelift will be pegged against Hyundai Elite i20, 2014 Volkswagen Polo, Fiat Punto EVO and Tata Bolt and the car is likely to get a price tag higher than its current model.
