Despite getting average reviews, the collection of Rajinikanth's 2.0 remained steady in Tamil Nadu and Chennai on its second day. The movie is now heading towards having a good weekend as the movie has average-to-positive reviews from the public.

The trade reports indicate that the business was good for a normal working day. The occupancy rates were higher for the evening shows. The early estimations coming from the trade indicate that 2.0 has grossed easily over Rs 27 crore in two days in Tamil Nadu.

In Chennai, 2.0 had minted a record-breaking collection as it collected Rs 2.64 crore on the first day. It shattered the first-day record of Sarkar, which had raked in Rs 2.41 crore. However, the second day business of the Rajinikanth's film is lesser than the Vijay-starrer in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

2.0 has collected Rs 2.13 crore, while Sarkar had earned Rs 2.32 crore a few weeks ago in Chennai. However, the total collection of Rajinikanth in Chennai is higher (Rs 4.77 crore) than Vijay's film (Rs 4.73).

The overall collection of 2.0 in Tamil Nadu is way lesser than Sarkar, which had breached into Rs 50-crore club in two days. The advantage that the Vijay-starrer had was a Diwali holiday weekend which helped the flick to enjoy fantastic footfalls.

The film was released in over 650 screens in Tamil Nadu. As per the trade trackers, the 3D version has been received well by the audience when compared to the 2D version.

However, the trends indicate that the collections of 2.0 will remain stable for the next two days. The movie is expected to attract the family audience and children.

Shankar's 2.0, which also has Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the leads, is a science fiction made on the budget of Rs 570 crore. The movie, which released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, should perform well for the next 10 days to enter the profit zone.
