Lyca Productions have pulled up their sleeves to prevent pirated version of Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 getting leaked online. Two weeks ago, notorious torrent site TamilRockers had threatened to leak director Shankar's upcoming sci-fi thriller and make 2.0 full movie download links with 1080p or 720p HD quality prints available to download from unofficial servers.

The production house has now moved Madras High Court to curb film piracy and prevent sites which allow illegal movie download links. The producers have reportedly listed down over 12,000 websites that can potentially host pirated versions of their film. 2.0 will be releasing tomorrow over across 10,000 screens worldwide.

"We have got a 'technical' team of ten people who are involved in this. I don't want to elaborate much on the measures we have taken to curb piracy because it needs to be 'silently dealt with'. We met the authorities concerned in both Chennai and Delhi and they assured us that some concrete steps will be taken. Also, I am sure 'links' won't open if someone searches for 2.0 online," Sundar, executive producer of Lyca Productions told The Indian Express.

After Vijay's recent release Sarkar and Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan full HD movie was leaked online, Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) released a statement urging theatre owners to employ personnel inside cinema halls to prevent cinegoers from recording films on their phones.

2.0 is made with a whopping budget of Rs 600 crore approximately and has been one of the most-awaited movie of the year. Considering the immense around the movie, it is expected to register a whopping total on the opening day of its release.

Just like director SS Rajamouli's Baahubali, Dharma Productions head Karan Johar is gearing up for the release of Tamil entertainer 2.0 as a film distributor.

With massive screen counts, 2.0 has been allotted around 32,000 to 33,000 shows across India which will further boost the revenue generated from the ticket window alone. The morning shows are starting from as early as 4 am in several parts of the country. Baahubali 2 was allotted with approximately 31,000 shows across theatres in India.

Considering the hype around 2.0, it is being said that Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's film may earn somewhere around Rs 35 crore on its opening day according to early estimates.
