Though Sai Pallavi aka 'Malar' is just one film old, she is already a familiar face in Kerala and is looked upon as a daughter or a sister by thousands of Malayalees.

Noticing an entry in the Wikipedia, which said that Malar's birthday falls on Sunday, 18 October, many of her ardent fans began wishing her by uploading birthday videos and special greetings.

However, the actress came forward thanking everyone for their love and confirmed that it is not her birth date.

"My Birthday is on d 9th of may ... but still thank u for all d love", the "Premam" actress wrote on Sai Pallavi Fans Association Facebook Unit, which is a Facebook group for the actress' fans, in which, she is also a member.

Even though her character was kept under the wraps, she mesmerised the audience with her simple, yet beautiful acting and dancing skills among the three lead heroines of Nivin Pauly starrer "Premam", which was directed by Alphonse Puthren.

Meanwhile, some unconfirmed news suggest that Sai will be next seen opposite young actor Dulquer Salmaan in Sameer Thahir's upcoming romantic action thriller.

Currently, she is pursuing a Medical course at Tbilisi State Medical University in Georgia.
