Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" has opened to a thunderous start in India as well as in overseas markets.

"Attarintiki Daredi", which had a wide release on 27 September, received massive response on the first day. According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "Attarintiki Daredi" minted over ₹10 crore in Andhra Pradesh. 

Produced by BVSN Prasad, the film is about a man who is on a mission to unite two families. It features Pawan Kalyan as the male lead, while Samantha and Praneetha are his heroines. The film boasts of a big star cast including Boman Irani, Nadiya, Brahmanandam, Ali, MS Narayana, Posani Krishna Murali, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Rao Ramesh among others.  

The Pawan Kalyan starrer raked in its highest collections amounting to ₹3.28 crore from Nizam area. 

Nizam - ₹3.28 crore

Ceded - ₹2.15 crore

Vizag - ₹82 lakh

Guntur - ₹1.40 crore

East - ₹1.04 crore

West - ₹75 lakh

Krishna - ₹71 lakh

Nellore - ₹ 57 lakh

Overseas Markets

The film has created history in the US by setting a new benchmark for Telugu films. According to trade analyst Taran, "Attarintiki Daredi" made over ₹2 crore during the Thursday preview, from 65 screens in the US.

"#AttarintikiDaredi - USA: Reported screens $ 345,359 + non-Rentrack screens $ 79,000. Thu total: $ 424,359 [₹ 2.67 cr]. HISTORY!" Taran tweeted.

The film has reportedly grossed more than two of the biggest hits of 2013 -"Baadshah" and "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (SVSC) - at the US box office.

Jr NTR's "Baadshah" fetched $234,686 from Thursday previews (76 locations), whereas "SVSC" had collected $205,347 (62 locations). With "Attarintiki Daredi" collecting more than $345,000 in the US, superstar Pawan Kalyan has proven himself as the king of Telugu box office once again.

Last year, Pawan Kalyan's "Gabbar Singh" grossed more than ₹100 crore at the worldwide box office.

"Attarintiki Daredi" has received positive reviews from film critics who have appreciated Pawan's performance as well as director Trivikram Srinivas's film-making skills. The film is likely to fetch good collections during its opening weekend across the globe.

With no big Telugu releases, "Attarintiki Daredi" is sure to dominate the Andhra Pradesh box office till 10 October when Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" will hit the screens.
