Chinese telecommunication firm ZTE has launched Grand S2 smartphone in India.
ZTE Grand S2 sports a 5.5-inch full HD screen and ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by Snapdragon 800 series quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory (further expandable up to 32GB).
Other stipulated specifications include 13mp main camera, 5mp front snapper and a 3,000mAh battery.
ZTE Grand S2 availability details:
As per reports, the company is slated to roll out Grand S2 to the Indian market next week on 24 November. However the details regarding the price are still under the wraps.
Grand S2 was originally unveiled back in January at CES (Consumers Electronics Show) and later got released in China in April. Now, the ZTE phone has finally made its way to India, however it remains to be seen how the public reacts to this out-dated phone.
If ZTE sells Grand S2 with a competitive price-tag of around ₹20,000, it can give stiff challenge to recently released Lenovo Vibe X2, and pose a threat to tier-1 brands like Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy Alpha, Nokia Lumia 930, HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 (& Z3), Apple iPhone 6 (4.7-inch model) and its sister company's Motorola Moto X (Gen 2.0).
