Chinese smartphone maker ZTE added a new handset in its smartphone line up in China and released the brand new Star 1.
ZTE Star 1, the LTE-enabled smartphone sports 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) IPS display and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
Priced at CNY 1399 in China, the latest offering of ZTE runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and comes with 16GB internal memory, which is further expandable by upto 64 GB with microSD card. The phone houses 8-megapixel auto focus main camera with dual LED Flash,f/2.0 aperture on the back side and 5-megapixel camera on the front. On the connectivity front, the handset supports 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP, USB OTG and GPS and comes loaded with 2300 mAh battery.
As of now there is no word on the availability of the ZTE Star 1 smartphone in other markets. In China, the handset is now available for pre-order and will go on sale in later this month, according to Fonearena. The device will be available in three colour - black, pink, and white.
Earlier in April, ZTE also launched its Grand S II smartphone in China. Unveiled at CES 2014, Grand S II has been priced at CNY 1699 and comes with 5 inch display, 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, 3 megapixel primary camera and 2 megapixel front facing camera. Under the hood, the handset packs 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
