We are just hours away from the official unveiling of the much anticipated YU Yutopia in India.
The company, in its bid to build buzz around the launch event, has been taking potshots at rivals OnePlus, Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung, highlighting how the upcoming Yutopia will be much better.
YU claims that the Yutopia is the 'world's most powerful phone', but only time will tell whether the device will live up to its reputation or not.
To help provide a better perspective on the upcoming YU Yutopia, we have leafed through numerous reports and listed key features that are probable to make the cut in the device.
Display and build quality:
YU, in its first two teasers which were released in October, took particular interest in mocking rival OnePlus 2. It ridiculed the device's tag – "2016 Flagship Killer" when the device lacked full metal body and QHD display, thereby hinting Yutopia will boast aforementioned features.
It is learnt that YU Yutopia will flaunt all-metal body to give a premium sense and sturdy enough cover to protect it from accidental fall. The flagship device will also sport 5.2-inch screen with 2560x1440p resolution, similar to Samsung's Galaxy S6 series.
Processor, RAM and Storage capacity:
In September, YU Yutopia with code-name Yu5050 was spotted at AnTuTu benchmark site revealing that the device will come packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 Octa-core processor, as seen in almost all top flagship phones.
[To name a few, HTC One (M9), Sony Xperia Z5, OnePlus 2 and Huawei's Google Nexus 6P all have the Snapdragon 820 CPU]
The AnTuTu website also showed that Yutopia will house 32GB internal storage and will be available in 4GB and 3GB RAM models. Even YU has confirmed that the upcoming launch event will witness unveiling of two devices and hence it looks like Yutopia will be released in variants.
The company has not given any hint on camera specific hardware details, but YU has revealed that the camera will be top notch.
YU, in collaboration with luxury car-maker BMW and popular biker and photographer Sundeep Gajjar (aka The MotoGrapher), has released a series of snapshots taken by Yutopia's camera and they look stunning.

Word on the street is that Yutopia will feature 21MP camera on the back and a 8MP Snapper on the front.
Mobile operating System:
Earlier this week, YU launched an attack on the world's reigning leader Samsung. The company mocked Galaxy S6 Edge's Touch Wiz UI for not having much customisation options. This indirectly hints that Yutopia will run on the Cyanogen based Android OS, which offers numerous personalisation options.
Leaked AnTuTu benchmark results have shown that the device will come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
Earlier in the month, YU took a swing at Apple and mocked its devices for their low battery-life, hinting that Yutopia will boast high-capacity battery. It is also expected to come with quick-charge technology.
Since YU is touting Yutopia to be a revolutionary product, one can expect the device to boast advanced features such as finger-print sensor, NFC and Type-C USB port.
YU Yutopia Price and release details:
YU's first ever device Yureka was unveiled exactly a year ago and went on sale in January 2015. Similarly YU Yutopia, after being unveiled, might go on sale next month.
In September, YU imported a few units of smartphone code-named Yu5050, understood to be Yutopia from Hong Kong to India.
Interesting thing to note is that the unit price listed on the logistic website Zauba.com, says that the new Micromax YU smartphone will cost between Rs. 20,250 and Rs. 20,750. Considering import duty charges and Indian Rupee's exchange rate, the final price of the device falls in the range of Rs. 21,500 to Rs. 25,000.
