A 19-year old was battered unconscious with chairs by a gang of thugs in south London. CCTV footage shows the group of black teenagers smash a chair over the mans head and kick him before robbing the victims phone and cash.

The brutal attack happened on 30 April at around 10.15pm outside the Astroria Cafe and Grill, The High Parade in Streatham. The victim was walking along Streatham High Road towards a bus stop when he was approached by approximately 10 people, described as black male teenagers.

The group launched into the vicious attack leaving the teenager unconscious. He was taken to hospital with cuts to his head, face and lips but was not seriously injured.

Officers are appealing for the identity of the other suspects shown on CCTV. The suspects captured by the CCTV being released by officers are described as black males, aged between 14 and 16, and wearing dark hooded tops.

A13-year-old boy has already been arrested in connection with the offence on suspicion of affray, robbery and possession of a class B drug. He was bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late November.
