Ajith Kumar starrer "Yennai Arindhaal" has got a fantastic opening in Tamil Nadu. The first day collection of the Tamil movie in the state is approximately ₹11 crore.

"Yennai Arindhaal" has got an earth-shattering opening; especially in Chennai, actor Ajith's fans have celebrated the release of the film like a festival. The early morning shows in Kasi and Jyothi theatres saw cent percent occupancy.

According to leading critic and trade tracker Sreedhar Pillai, "Yennai Arindhaal" has grossed ₹11 crore and the net collection is ₹8.35 crore.

"#YennaiArindhaal - Thursday - 1 Day Opening - TN - Total Gross - Rs 11 Cr (Approx), Net - Rs 8.35 Cr (Approx)," Sreedhar Pillai tweeted.

"Yennai Arindhaal" opened in 54 screens in Chennai where it registered 100 per cent occupancy. The film had more than 325+ shows on the release day. Overall, the movie was released in 300+ screens on the first day in Tamil Nadu.

Response in Kerala/Karnataka
The Ajith starrer has been received well in Kerala and Karnataka as well. "Yennai Arindhaal" has been shown in 107 screens in God's Own Country and in around 80 screens in Karnataka. While MG Nair is distributing in the Malayalam-speaking state, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Enterprises has released the flick in the Kannada-speaking region.

In Kerala, it has earned ₹1.65 crore (₹1.32 nett) and "Yennai Arindhaal" has collected ₹2 crore in Karnataka. In Bangalore, "Yennai Arindhaal" - which has Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty in the female lead roles - had more than 225 shows and made an outstanding business on the release day.
