Apart from Malayalam films, Kerala has become a strong market for other language films. This latest trend is evident from the mass release of the other-language films like "PK", "Jilla", "I" and "Yennai Arindhaal" in the South Indian state.

Now, after "Shamitabh", Dhanush is awaiting the mass release of his big-budget Tamil film "Anegan", which is set to hit 91 screens in Kerala on Friday, 13 February. This will be Dhanush's highest ever screen count in the state.

"#Anegan -91 screens release in Kerala on Feb 13. @dhanushkraja's highest ever screen count in the state," industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai tweeted.

The film is set to release in more than 400 screens in Tamil Nadu alone and more than 1,000 screens in rest of India.

Knowing it as a strong market, Dhanush and the other cast and crew of the romantic thriller had visited Kerala on Sunday, 8 February, to promote the upcoming film.

Directed by KV Anand, "Anegan" also stars Amyra Dastur, Karthik, Aishwarya Devan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Atul Kulkarni, Mukesh Tiwari, Vinaya Prasad, Lena and Arun Vijay in pivotal roles.
