The post-leap drama of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" saw Shivangi Joshi joining the cast as the grown-up Naira. The actress, popular for her role of Poonam on her previous show "Begusarai," has been gradually making her way into the hearts of ardent viewers of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai."
Since the ongoing track revolves around the mother-daughter duo — Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naira — Shivangi has been shooting mostly with Hina and the duo has already grown fond of each other. "My family is happy that I am a part of 'Yeh Rishta (Kya Kehlata Hai)' as they love this show. My parents used to watch the show before I came on board. Hina is a wonderful actress and I am happy that I get to share screen space with a talented bunch of actors," Shivangi told Tellychakkar.com.
Hina recently took to Twitter to introduce Shivangi as Naira along with a picture of the two ladies. Shivangi, on the other hand, called Hina the "hottest onscreen mother" on her Twitter handle.
Earlier, in an interview with Asian Age, Hina had said she was hopeful the leap and the ongoing track related to the mother and daughter would connect with the audience and take the show to the top of the rating charts. "I really see this track atleast in the top five because we have worked really hard on it. It's been very well-written and I am sure that the audience will love each and every episode and wait for it with eagerness," Hina had told the daily.
Meanwhile on the show, Akshara is dejected with Naira's strange behaviour after returning from Rishikesh. Naira, on the other hand, wants to run away from the Singhania house. However, in the upcoming episodes, Naitik (Karan Mehra), fearing that he may lose Naira again, will decide to keep Akshara away from Naira and convince the latter to stay with the Maheshwari family, where he will be able to meet her, India Forums reported
