Last week, rumours of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor Karan Patel aka Raman and his on-screen mother Shahnaz Rizwan aka Mrs. Bhalla, quitting the show created a hue and cry among the show's fans. Rumour had it that Shahnaz was miffed with the producers for delay in her payments and has returned to London.

However, the senior actress has opened up about the rumours claiming that she hasn't flown out of the country and is very much part of the show. Shahnaz further accused some of her "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" co-stars for having spread the rumours, but refused to name them.

"While most people [on the show] get paid every three months, the makers ensure I get my remuneration every month. Certain artistes are jealous that in spite of having lived in London all my life, I am completely comfortable here. They are insecure about my popularity and skills. They talk about me behind my back and have spread the rumours, but I don't care. I don't want to take names. I am close to some people; Anita Hassanandani is one of them," Rizwan told Mid-Day.

On the other hand, Karan triggered speculations of his exit when in a series of tweets he had expressed his disappointment with the show. "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is and will always be my connection to you ... #RKB ho na ho ... The Show Must Go On," Karan tweeted. However, he was quick enough to clarify his tweets and said that he was very much a part of the show and had no plans to quit. Karan tweeted: "I was and will always be a part of #YehHaiMohabbatein ... Its inseparable from me. I did not mean to give out the message that im quitting! [sic]"

Apparently, the entire cast of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" is unhappy with the production team owing to issues with their contract renewals. Karan was reportedly frustrated and hence was using his popularity to send across the message to the production team.
