India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. updated its full-faired 150cc motorcycle, the YZF-R15, with new colours. The three new colours available are christened as Revving Blue, Sparky Green and Adrenaline Red. The updated motorcycle has been priced at Rs 1,18,373, ex-showroom, Delhi, for all colours.
The pre-update version of the R15 was priced in the range of Rs 1.14 lakh to Rs 1.17 lakh, depending on the colours. Mechanically, the updated R15 Version 2.0 remains unchanged and continues to draw power from the same 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 16.7bhp at 8,500rpm and 15Nm of torque at 7,500rpm coupled to a six-speed transmission.
Based on the Delta box frame, the R15 comes with telescopic front suspension and mono suspension at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with disc brakes at both tyres. The R15 measures 1,970mm in height, 670mm in width and 1,070mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,345mm. The R15 also features 160mm ground clearance and 136 kilogram kerb weight.
The Japanese company also re-launched the first gen of the R15 in Sept. 2015 because of the customer demand. It has been named as YZF-R15 S and priced at Rs 1.15 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
