Yamaha has introduced three new dual-tone colours for its Alpha scooter in India, to make it more appealing to the young buyers in the country.
The new colour shades which are available for Alpha are rocking red, beaming blue and gleaming gold and has been priced at a premium of Rs 1,000 over the current model. Yamaha currently sells Alpha models at 48,936 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Mechanically, Yamaha Alpha remains the same as the existing models. Powered by the same 113cc, single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with Blue Core technology Alpha has the capacity to churn out 7bhp at 7500 rpm and peak torque of 8.1 Nm at 5000rpm. The engine comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. Yamaha Alpha offers a fuel efficiency of 66kmpl.
Recently, Yamaha updated its scooter range in India including Alpha, Ray and Ray Z with the company's Next Generation 'Blue Core' technology.
