Xolo, subsidiary of Lava International, is all set to release the new Black smartphone in India on Friday.

For the last couple of weeks, Xolo, in its bid to build curiosity among fans before the launch, has been releasing tidbits of Black's key features.

To help provide a better perspective on Xolo Black's specifications, we have sifted through numerous reports and have put together a list of probable key features that are likely to make the cut in the upcoming handset.

Design and build:

Going by the company's first Xolo Black video teaser, the upcoming phone's design seems to have been inspired by iPhone 6 series. The curved corners and smooth edges around the phone are uncanny. It is also shown to boast a glossy cover on the rear-side, hinting the phone might come with a layer of glass on top. It also houses SIM-tray to the left side.

Camera:

The company has so far released two teaser videos and both the clips have highlighted 'camera' to be the marquee feature of the Xolo Black. It is confirmed to feature dual-camera with LED flash on the rear-side and the phone is also said to have a superfast auto-focus feature as well.

Mobile Operating System:

Xolo Black is said to run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop with the proprietary Hive v1.5 UI out-of-the-box.

4G-LTE:

Xolo Black is set to ship with 4G-LTE modem. Since most of the device under mid-range and budget categories devices come with 'Category 4' LTE standard, the upcoming devices expected to feature the same.

Xolo Black owners will be able enjoy super-speed internet with 150/50mbps download/upload speed.

Value-added features:

Xolo Black is supposedly smudge-and-stain resistant. It was evident in the company's first teaser, which used hand puppets to demonstrate the Black's key feature. This means Xolo Black will have water-proof coating on the display, probably not with IP (Ingress Protection) rating like top-end Sony phones which can survive five feet under-water for close to 30 minutes, but more like mid-range Moto series devices, where they are said to sustain water-splashes in rain.

Price:

Reports suggest the Xolo Black could be priced below ₹15,000.
