Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi launched a new budget smartphone called the Redmi Pro in Beijing on Wednesday.
The new Redmi Pro comes with a brushed aluminium cover and boasts two cameras with dual-LED flash on the back. It features a 13MP primary camera with Sony IMX258 sensor for still images and a secondary 5MP secondary snapper with Samsung sensor to capture depth information.
The Redmi Pro camera also comes with Bokeh-effect feature seen in DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras. It is assisted by dedicated depth of field image chipset - ImagiQ. On the front, it houses a wide-angle 5MP snapper.
Other stipulated features include 5.5-inch full HD OLED flash, Mediatek Helio X25/X20 deca-core CPU, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB inbuilt storage and a 4,050mAh battery.

The new Redmi Pro comes in three configurations — one having Mediatek Helio X25+4GB RAM+128GB storage, second with Mediatek Helio X25 +3GB RAM+64GB and the third featuring Mediatek Helio X20+3GB+32GB storage.
They cost ¥1999 (around $300/€272/Rs. 20,133), ¥1699 (around $255/€232/Rs.17,110) and ¥1499 (around $225/€204/Rs. 15,095), respectively. All the three models come in gold, silver and dark grey colour options and go on sale in China from Aug. 6 onwards.
Besides the new Redmi Pro smartphones, Xiaomi also pulled the wraps off the company's first laptop Mi Note Air series in Beijing on Wednesday.
