Xiaomi Redmi Note Flipkart Flash Sale Round 1: Smartphone Units Sold out in 6 Seconds

As expected, Xiaomi Redmi Note flash sale on Tuesday, 2 December, got over in seconds leaving many fans frustrated.

The company took to social platform Facebook to boast its feat that Redmi Note units (numbering close to 50,000) got sold out in a record six seconds. However, fans weren't amused and vented their ire on Twitter.

This does not come as a surprise, as we know that the there were more than 3,50,000 registered buyers and just 50,000 up for grabs. It's a simple math; the demand is completely disproportionate to device availability.

The company had faced flak from the media and fans during the early flash sales of Xiaomi Mi3. But later with Redmi 1S weekly flash sales, the number of units were increased, so we expect the Chinese company to stock more Redmi Note devices in its inventory next week.

Registration window for 9 December flash sale will be opened to the public on Flipkart on Tuesday at 6pm. Interested consumers can click here; This window will close at 11:59pm, 8 December.

Xiaomi's e-commerce affiliate Flipkart has urged the registered users, who missed out to get the Redmi Note on Tuesday, must have to re-apply to make themselves eligible to buy the Xiaomi device next week.
