The launch of Reliance Jio 4G has been one of the most discussed topics in India, but the company itself has refrained from making an official comment.

Although there is excitement over the high-speed mobile broadband service being launched on India's Independence Day on August 15, a new report suggests delay.

According to Hong Kong-based brokerage firm CLSA, Jio 4G voice and data services may be launched commercially in the next three months. Despite an impending launch, Reliance Jio is reportedly handling the second-highest data traffic and is most likely to scale up to the top before its commercial rollout, the firm noted.

"Jio's subscribers are already using an average of 26 GB a month. Jio's monthly data traffic is nearing 39 million GB," CLSA said in a note on Friday.

Assuming CLSA's insights are correct, we can expect Jio 4G to commercially launch before Diwali.

Despite the mounting data traffic on Jio's network, users' experience is not affected in any way, the brokerage firm said. "Milking its large capacity will be the core of Jio's strategy of offering data at attractive unit pricing and still achieving high targeted average revenue per user (ARPU)," the firm added.

Reliance Jio's optimum user experience, combined with disruptive pricing, is seen as a major threat by rivals Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular, which have already taken measures to remain competitive in the market.

While the official pricing is still a mystery, Reliance Jio has been offering 3 months of unlimited data and voice calls for free. The offer was initially exclusive to LYF smartphones, but the company partnered with Samsung for its Preview Unlimited offer for 90 days on select smartphones.

A separate report by ETTelecom on Friday suggested that the three-month unlimited data preview offer is also available for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 users, where users can download the MyJio app to avail free calls and 4G data.
