After a successful run of flash sales of its smartphones in India, Xiaomi is bringing back its first budget smartphone, Redmi 1S.
Xiaomi's Redmi 1S will be on offer again on Flipkart on 8 December and fans can grab the phone with lesser hassle as consumers can directly purchase the smartphone on the day of sale without any registrations.
Xiaomi confirmed the re-release of Redmi 1S in India via its official Twitter account. The post was to the point, "Stop whatever you're doing & read - Redmi 1S will be made available on 8th December." In the shared image, Xiaomi also noted that the sales will be open for all without pre-registrations but only till the stocks last.

Xiaomi will be offering two models at the same time. The company is currently running its Tuesday-flash-sales through Flipkart for the Redmi Note. The first Redmi Note sale last week went incredibly well, where Xiaomi sold 50K units in a matter of just six seconds. The re-opening sale of Xiaomi Redmi 1S will also run till stocks last and it has never been a challenge for Xiaomi to empty its stocks.
The company hasn't revealed how many units of Redmi 1S will be up for sale but the last sale of Redmi 1S indicated its declining popularity. It took 6 minutes to empty the stocks, a far cry from its flash sales that lasted a few seconds. Xiaomi previously attempted selling Redmi 1S without registration back in October and it took over six hours to sell all the devices. But the company had increased the inventory at the time to 150,000 to celebrate Flipkart's BigBillionDay sale.
The Redmi 1S will be available on Monday, exclusively through Flipkart and the traditional Tuesday sale will continue for Redmi Note.
To refresh your memory, Redmi 1S is one of the worthiest budget phones in the market with a 4.7-inch 720p display, dual-SIM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, 8GB of built-in storage and a 2,000mAh battery.
