Chinese smartphone-maker Phicomm has officially launched the feature-rich Passion 660 smartphone, which is set to take on the Chinese rival Xiaomi Mi 4i in India.
The new Phicomm Passion 660 sports 5.0-inch full HD display and run on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS powered by 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 Octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2,300mAh battery.

Last month, we saw three Chinese smartphone-makers ― Meizu, Nubia (subsidiary of ZTE) and Coolpad ― entering the Indian market.
And now with the launch of Phicomm Passion 660, Indian smartphone market especially the mid-range segment has become more competitive than before. But, this is good for consumers as they will be spoilt for choices.
The new Phicomm Passion 660 comes with an aggressive price tag of ₹10,999, making it the cheapest 5.0-inch full HD smartphone to run on the 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 CPU. It will be made available exclusively on Amazon India on 9 June in black and white variants. Prospective consumers have to get themselves registered at the e-commerce site to become eligible to make a purchase.
Competition:
Phicomm Passion P660 is poised to give a stiff challenge to its popular Chinese peer Xiaomi Mi 4i, which also boasts similar specifications, but costs more. Phicomm Passion 660 will also be competing with the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini, Meizu M1 Note, Lenovo A7000, Xperia M4 Aqua, Asus Zenfone 2 series models and other domestic brands.
