After weeks of teasing, Xiaomi has finally launched the much awaited Redmi Note 3 in India.
The new Redmi Note 3 sports a metal-clad body cover with fingerprint sensor below the camera module on the rear-side and on the front, it sports 5.5-inch full HD display with pixel density of 401 ppi (pixels per inch).
The key aspect of Redmi Note 3 is that it boasts fingerprint sensor with a record 0.3-second response time. It is the company's first smartphone to ship with biometric technology in India.
It also boasts a 16MP camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) function, dual-tone LED flash, HDR, face/smile detection on the back and a 5MP snapper on the front.
Under the hood, it houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage and 4000mAh battery.

The company has confirmed that the new Redmi Note 3 will come in 3GB/32GB and 2GB/16GB storage configurations for Rs 11,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively. They will be available in silver, gold and dark grey colour options initially on Mi.com and Amazon India on March 9. Later, they will also be released on Flipkart, Snapdeal and other e-commerce sites.
Going by the price and spec-list, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will be up against the popular Lenovo K4 Note, LeEco Le 1s, Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen), Turbo and among others.
