Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi is all set to formally enter the Indian market with the launch the new Redmi and Mi series smartphones next week.

Xiaomi has teased a poster (via Facebook) of the three devices - one Mi3 and two unnamed smartphones (with big '?' symbol covering the whole display) - leaving fans to guess the mystery devices, which are expected to debut at the company's official launch in New Delhi on 15 July.

According to AndroidOS.in, the two mystery smartphones are understood to be Redmi 1S (aka Hongmi 1S) and Redmi Note.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S is a mid-range smartphone. It sports a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS LCD screen with Gorilla Glass 2 shield and ships with the Android Jelly Bean OS (with custom MIUI), 1.6GHz Snapdragon CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 2000 mAh battery.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi Note is a phablet with a mammoth 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD screen. Under the hood, it comes packed with Android OS, Octa-core processor, a 13.0-megapixel camera, a 5.0-megapixel snapper on front and a high-capacity 3200 mAh battery.

And as far as Xiaomi Mi3 is concerned, the company has already revealed that the device will hit the stores on 15 July for ₹14,999 (for more information, click here). And going by the phone's specifications and its competitive price tag, Mi3 is set to shake the Indian smartphone market with seismic waves, expected to be much bigger than Motorola Moto G.

The ripple effect will be felt by not only the domestic players (Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, etc. ) but also the high-end MNC brands like Motorola Moto X, Google-LG Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 (& M7), Sony Xperia Z2 (& Z1) and others.

Xiaomi comes with a reputation of being China's answer to Apple Inc. Its market share in the neighbouring country has risen to 10 percent (courtesy, PC World) within 3 years of entering the business, and now the company has set its eyes on India, the world's third biggest smartphone market.

The company's 15 July (Tuesday) event is said to be presided by top international technology honchos, starting with Xiaomi co-founder & president Bin Lin, global head & vice-president Hugo Barra (former Google's Android division, vice-president and product spokesman) and the country head Manu Jain (Jabong co-founder).
