Upcoming Xbox One exclusive Scalebound was initially showcased at this year's E3. However, the game was showcased in its full, dragon-riding glory at this year's Gamescom event, and it looks very promising.

For Gamescom this year, at Microsoft's presser, Scalebound was revealed in its full form to the world, putting to rest all the doubts fans had about the game. However, what was quite evident was the fact that dragons will play a major role in the game.

Let's see what all we have learnt after Scalebound was revealed at Gamescom 2015:

Mega Dragon Showdowns
At each point of the game, expect a major boss-type battle to test your nerves. While our main character Drew will be in the thick of things, it seems like it will be his trusty dragon that will do most of the butt-kicking. Drew's job is ancillary here since he will help his dragon mate by making some critical strikes on huge enemies, only to clear the path of the dragon to raise hell.

Bring Your Dragon... To the (Multiplayer) Slaughter
While it's no surprise that a game as big as Scalebound will feature multiplayer, it seems like fans are in for an added surprise as each player will be able to bring his or her dragon into the battle, similar to the single-player side of things. So this means, if the multiplayer supports at least a four-player party at some point of time, you can imagine the general scales of these battles to rise drastically.

An Effective Skill Tree
Going by whatever that can be gathered from the gameplay that was shown off at Gamescom, it seems like our main character Drew will be open to receiving skill points. And if there are skill points in the place, we might as well go the distance by saying there will also be an effective skill tree in place to utilise those skill points. What's more, it seems like Drew can acquire these skill points faster than usual, so you can expect your skill tree to grow at a considerable pace while going through the game.

The Dragon and Drew are Inseparable
For the game, Drew's BFF will be the fire-breathing beast that will accompany him in his adventures. Drew can not only communicate with the Dragon effectively, but it seems like he's also part-dragon; hence, the name Scalebound. Drew seems to make out what the dragon's several grunts and roars mean, and will be able to dictate the dragon to perform several hard-hitting combos. Not only that, Drew can even turn into a dragon himself, albeit for a short period of time.
