Is the villain for "Wolverine 3" teased in the "X-Men: Apocalypse" post-credits scene? Judging by the leaked scene description, it definitely seems so.

Last week, "Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer spoke a bit about what fans can expect to see in the film's post-credits scene. He hinted that it may set up everything from "Gambit" to "Wolverine 3" and the next X-Men movie. Now, thanks to a post by Bleeding Cool, we're a bit closer to knowing what it features. Check out the scene description below:

"We see a besuited man walking through the remains of the Weapon X clean-up programme, removing the blood, bodies and bullets. And a suited man retrieving vials of Wolverine's blood labelled Weapon X. And placing them into his briefcase which contains other vials of differing colours. Slamming shut, it is labelled ESSEX CORP."

This looks to be a nod to Marvel villain Nathaniel Essex aka Mister Sinister. During the 19th Century, Nathaniel Essex encountered Apocalypse, who used his technology to transform Essex into "Sinister," the last word his dying wife ever spoke to him. But the big question is when will we see him? "Wolverine 3?" Or the next X-Men movie?

ComicBookMovie speculates that since "Wolverine 3" has been casting a lot of "scientist types," Essex Corp being the big bad of that movie could work, especially if they use that blood to create Wolverine clone, X-23.

Well, it remains to be seen what the makers have in store for us, but Hugh Jackman's Wolverine going up against an evil clone in his final cinematic outing, might just be the ultimate swan song for the character. "Wolverine 3" is slated to release in 2017.
