Gal Gadot has stripped down to her bra and underpants in the new issue of Interview magazine, where she has opened up about playing Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice".

The former Miss Israel said playing Wonder Woman was a huge task, as there was a lot of responsibility attached to the role.

"I'm so excited about this role," Gadot told Interview. "I feel like I've been given a huge opportunity to inspire people, not only women. And not because of me but because of who Wonder Woman is and what she stands for. There's a lot of responsibility. But I have the best team and the best people to work with. It's going to be an amazing ride, knock on wood."

Shortly after landing the role, she directed all her energy into getting in shape for the character. And she chose TRX "because everything's working your whole body," she told E!Online last year. "I do cardio, but I don't like it as much. I'd rather do weights."

Diet is also an important factor. "I try to eat healthy," she said. "But sometimes though, I eat cheeseburgers. That's good for the soul. I make sure to balance everything out. I drink tons of water."

Gadot, who quit law school to pursue a career in acting, also opened up about nearly playing Bond girl in the Interview chat, saying she failed to snag the role even after many callbacks.

"A month later, I landed the lead role for a TV series in Israel," Gadot recalled. "And two months later, the same casting director cast me for Fast & Furious [in 2009]. The rest is history."

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set for a March 2016 release.
