New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Making an all-out attempt to woo Muslim voters, BJP president Rajnath Singh has said that his party will ask for forgiveness if it had ever committed any mistake in the past. The BJP chief was apparently referring to the 2002 communal riots in Gujarat, over which the party and the state's Chief Minister and now its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has faced enough criticism. However, the statement made by Singh hasn't gone down well with Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, he questioned that why political parties remember the Muslim community just before elections. He also said that why Rajnath is using terms if and buts he should clearly apologize for Gujarat riots.
