Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's much-publicised relationship seems to have run its course. A handful of reports have claimed the star couple is on the verge of a split.

It's still believable when sources say the actors are putting an end to their courtship because of compatibility issues, but in this case, the gossip mongers have a different story to tell. Singh has been hanging out with Katrina Kaif, while Padukone has been sharing her love life troubles with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, SpotboyE reported.

This news comes after reports claiming that Padukone's busy schedule and unavailability has led to cracks in her relationship with Singh. However, both the stars have quashed the rumours by issuing strong statements.

While Singh was a little philosophical about it, Padukone's response to break-up rumours was more on point. Talking to HT Café, the leading lady said that she has been in the industry long enough to know what kind of news she should absorb and what not.

"You can only do things that are in your control. Certain things are a given when you are in this industry. I am sure there are certain advantages and disadvantages of being in this industry. And this is one of the things one has to deal with, and that's totally fine," the leading daily quoted the actress as saying.

"The ups, the positives, and the love we get are way too much for us to get bogged down by the speculations or the negativity," she added.

In other news, Singh and Padukone are gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. What's interesting about this film is that they will not share screen space in it.
