In December 2016, renowned singer KS Chithra had shared a video of a little girl singing the song Manjal Prasadavum via her Facebook page with an intention to find the identity of the talented kid. "Can someone get me the identity of this wonderful baby. So sweet of her," she had then posted on social media.

Finally, Chithra found and met the child prodigy, Rukmini, who is just two and a half years old. The singer shared her excitement in meeting the kid, who picks up difficult Malayalam songs though she doesn't speak much. The six-time National Award winning singer has also wished Rukmini to be the next Lata Mangeshkar. However, the kid refused to sing before Chithra.

Meanwhile, after becoming an Internet sensation by singing Chithra's hit song from the 1986 movie Nakhakshathangal, Rukmini also was praised by singer G Venugopal for rendering her voice for his popular track Chandana Manivathil from the film Marikkunnilla Njan. He had then shared the video of the young talent, who had then sung the melody with its background music.
