Salman Khan's production venture "Hero" starring newcomers Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty is all set to hit theatres on 11 September.

Recently, mentor Salman hosted a special screening of the film for Sooraj and Athiya's family at his farmhouse in Panvel.

Sooraj's parents Aditya Pancholi, Zarina Wahab and his sister Sana Pancholi and Athiya's parents Suneil Shetty, Mana Singh and her brother Ahaan Shetty attended the screening.

Sooraj's mother Zarina had earlier told IANS: "I can say one thing that whatever Sooraj is today, is because of Salman. I'm really grateful to him."

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor's close friend and director Kabir Khan also attended the special screening and was said to be impressed by Sooraj and Athiya's performances, reported Bollywood Life.

Directed by Nikhil Advani and co-produced by Salman and Subhash Ghai, Sooraj-Athiya's "Hero" is the remake 1983 released "Hero" that starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri.

Shroff, who was also present at the special screening, was happy to see Sooraj playing his role in the remake.

The "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor has also sung the title track of "Hero" that has garnered huge response from music lovers.
