Farah Khan's 50th birthday party was a grand affair with the who's who of Bollywood attending it. But the stars of the evening were Abhishek Bachhan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone.

The couples danced to popular songs from the 80s, including "Rang Barse", "I'm a disco dancer" and others.

Ranveer and Deepika, who recently returned from a holiday, shook a leg to Amitabh Bachchan's "Rang Barse" from the hit film "Silsila". Even Aishwarya-Abhishek got on the dance floor and danced to other hit songs from the 80s, Mumbai Mirror reported.

Aish-Abhi danced on "Aap jaisa koi mere zindagi mein aaye" from "Qurbani" and Mithun Chakraborty's "I'm a disco dancer" from "Disco Dancer".

"Farah's birthday had the vibe of the terrace parties of the '80s and '90s. The food was Indian and when the music stopped, the guests kept up the chatter," a guest told Mumbai Mirror.

Dancing diva Madhuri Dixit Nene with her husband Sriram Nene, Lara Dutta, Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor also got on the dance floor, along with the Ranveer-Deepika and Aishwarya-Abhishek.

Not only actors, but filmmakers too attended the birthday bash of Farah. Filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali among others were seen enjoying the party.

Karan danced to "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" song, while other filmmakers shook a leg to 80s music.

"Nobody had seen them dance this way before," the guest told the daily.

While A-list Bollywood celebrities attended the party, there were a few who made headlines with their absence and among them were Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

However, Shah Rukh later clarified on Twitter that he was busy with work due to which he was not able to be with his friends Farah and Farhan on their birthday.

"In the line of duty hav not been able to b with either Farah or Farhan on their b'days. May Allah give the cousins the best of all.. always," SRK tweeted.
