The promo and synopsis for Westworld Season 1 episode 3 has been released and it hints at a different story for Dolores and Teddy.

The next episode is titled The Stray and it will see the hosts getting glimpses from their past and acting out, but their creators are clueless about what's wrong. And Dolores, the first robot they ever created, is proving to be a bigger problem than anyone expected. Till now, the creators hadn't experienced any issues with Dolores, who has been functioning the way she was supposed to. But that changed after her father whispered something that altered her programming and made her hurt a living being.

The promo video shows Dr Ford questioning Dolores in his lab: "Tell me, Dolores. If you did take on a bigger role for yourself, would you have been the hero or the villain?" Dolores' transformation will be the focus of the next episode, as she seems to have realised that she has more power than she was led to believe.

"So, in character, she's this very innocent prairie girl, this princess/damsel in distress, but underneath that, she's actually a very advanced, intelligent being, with kind of unlimited power," Evan Rachel Wood, the actress who plays Dolores, told MovieFone. "The question is: What would happen if she realized she had that power?"

The synopsis for The Stray reads: "Elsie (Shannon Woodward) and Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) head into the hills in pursuit of a missing host. Teddy (James Marsden) gets a new backstory, which sets him off in pursuit of a new villain, leaving Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) alone in Sweetwater. Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) investigates the origins of madness and hallucinations within the hosts. William (Jimmi Simpson) finds an attraction he'd like to pursue and drags Logan (Ben Barnes) along for the ride."

Westworld airs Sundays at 9 pm on HBO and Tuesdays on Star World Premiere HD.
