Yesteryear's popular actress Leelavathi will be the guest on "Weekend with Ramesh" season two. The channel has announced the news on its Facebook page.
The message from the channel read, "Sadhakara seatanna alankarisalu bartiddaare Kannada chitrarangada meru nati 'Leelavathi' avaru. #WWR2 ide shanivara ratri 9 kke #ZeeKannada. (sic)"
She is the 18th celebrity to attend the show this season and third women to be part of "Weekend with Ramesh" season 2 after Rakshita and Lakshmi.
It has to be noted that the fans of "Weekend with Ramesh" season 2 have been requesting Zee Kannada on its Facebook page to bring her on the show.
The actress is expected to reveal some unknown facts about her life and the tale of her struggle and success in films.
Leelavathi has acted in over 550 movies in multiple languages. In her long-succesful career, she worked with matinee idols of South India like Dr Rajkumar, MG Ramachandran (MGR), NT Ramarao (NTR), Gemini Ganeshan and Sivaji Ganeshan.
She also worked in supporting roles with Vishnuvardhan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Ravichandran, Sudeep, etc.
Leelavathi started her career as an artist in theatre and graduated to lead actress roles in films with "Rani Honnamma," written and directed by KR Seetharama Sastry. Following the success of this flick, offers started pouring in for her and films like "Gaali Gopura," "Veera Kesari," "Mana Mechchida Madathi" and "Santha Thukaram" established her as a top actress. In Sandalwood alone, she worked in over 400 movies.
