Neymar vs Luis Suarez, Brazil vs Uruguay – the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Arena Pernambuco in Recife promises to be a cannot-miss-it humdinger. Indeed, such is the importance of the match between these two South American giants that a whole burger is at stake.

The bet the two Barcelona teammates have taken going into this South American 2018 WC qualifier is that the loser buying the winner a burger.

"I have a bet with Neymar. The winner gets a burger," Suarez was quoted as saying by PA Sport.at a press conference. "He is a great teammate and we always make jokes at Barcelona.

"But whoever wins this game will be enjoying himself and he who loses will be hearing it from the other. Above all, we are teammates and friends."

But, all kidding aside, there is a lot at stake in this match, with Brazil, in particular, in need of a victory.

Dunga's men currently lie fifth in the standings with seven points from four matches, and a win over Uruguay will take them all the way up to second in the table. Uruguay are in that second spot at the moment, having picked up nine points in four games.

Suarez, returning to the Uruguay fold after that massive ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini in the FIFA World Cup in 2014, expects a difficult encounter against Brazil, but despite playing against his Barca teammate and just coming off a suspension for being a little too aggressive, the former Liverpool striker insisted there will be no holding back as far as he is concerned.

"We will both be trying to give our all for our own team and our country," Suarez added. "Neymar knows me very well, but I also know him very well. Everything is different on the pitch, though. All rivals know how each opponent plays, but things always pan out differently on the pitch and you have to deal with it.

"I am going to have the same attitude, I will still run, still pressure, still argue because no one is going to change the way I play. But with moderation, like I am doing now at Barcelona, being more intelligent about a lot of things, trying to take advantage of the situations life is putting in front of me.

"The only thing I want to do is play with the national side again and enjoy the warmth of the fans."
