Arsenal is hoping to get to the top of the table on Saturday night after recording a win against West Brom at the Hawthorns in their 13th Premier League game of the season today.

However, the Gunners also have to hope that Manchester City somehow stumbles in their key clash against Liverpool also today evening. Both the Gunners as well as the Citizens are on 26 points, but Manuel Pellegrini's side have the edge as they have a better goal difference.

West Brom are currently in the 13th spot of the table with 14 points from 12 games; their season hasn't really started off well. They haven't been too comfortable playing at home either, as the Baggies have just one win at home this season, against Sunderland.

Striker Saido Berahino was expected to fire this season from the start for Tony Pulis' side, but the Englishman hasn't been able to make much of an impact as he has only popped in three goals from ten appearances this season. West Brom, incidentally, also have forwarded just ten goals from 12 games this time.

Pulis wants to change things at the earliest at West Brom, and he wants his men to give their best against an Arsenal side, which are continuously growing in strength. "We're really looking forward to the game and playing against one of the great teams and some fantastic players," Pulis said.

"Other years I've looked at them [Arsenal] and thought they didn't have the depth or the experience - they just lacked a bit of whatever it takes. He [Arsene Wenger] might decide to add one or two in the window and if he does that, and they're real quality players added to the group he's got, they've got a wonderful chance," Pulis added.

For the Gunners, the mood inside the camp remains sombre after the devastating terrorist attacks in France last week. Whether France internationals Laurient Koscielny and Olivier Giroud's have recovered in time for the game needs to be seen.

"Life has to be stronger than fear and the way for us to get on with life is to focus on our job," Arsenal boss Wenger said. "You always think after this kind of event: do you continue or do you stop your life, [stop] to play?" the Frenchman asked.

It also remains to be seen whether Hector Bellerin plays a part in the game today, as he has a groin injury.

Possible starting XI

West Brom: Myhill; Olsson, Evans, Dawson, Brunt; Yacob, Fletcher, Sessegnon, McClean; Berahino, Rondon.

Arsenal: Cech; Mertesacker, Koscielny, Bellerin (both doubtful), Monreal; Coquelin, Cazorla; Sanchez, Ozil, Campbell; Giroud.
