The relationship between Rollo and his nephew Björn Ironside will take an interesting turn in Vikings season 4 mid season premiere. Episode 11 is titled The Outsider and it will be aired this Wednesday, November 30, at 9 pm EST on History Channel.

The eldest son of Ragnar Lothbrok will decide to rekindle his relationship with Clive Standen's character in order to fulfil his biggest dream of sailing the Mediterranean. In return for his uncle's permission to sail through the Frankish territory, Alexander Ludwig's character will have to include him in his first major expedition.

But a joint trip will not settle the issues between them. According to creator Michael Hirst, Lagertha's son is still angry with his uncle because he tried to kill his parents during the great battle in Paris. So Björn might take this opportunity to take his revenge on Rollo and kill him.

In addition, the followers of Vikings season 4 can also expect a showdown between Travis Fimmel's character and King Ecbert in episode 11. A short summary for the sequel states that Ragnar has an unfinished business in Wessex and wants to go back there with his closest allies. While his sons Hvitserk and Ivar will accompany him, Ubbe and Sigurd will stay back in Kattegat to protect their mother Queen Aslaug.

For the shieldmaiden Lagertha, it is time to forget her painful past and find a new love interest for her. The person who will stand beside her and support her in all her future endeavours could be the young and energetic shieldmaiden Astrid.
