MS Dhoni is known for his smartness and quick hands behind the wicket, and the same was witnessed when Rising Pune Supergiant were facing Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.

The former RPS skipper played an integral role in sending KKR opener Sunil Narine back to the dugout. After Gautam Gambhir played a leg glance towards the short fine fielder, Narine ran to the danger side, and it was then that Dhoni used his brains to dismiss Narine.

Dhoni, realising Narine is not a great runner between the wickets, knew that he had a chance to run out the left-hander. The fielder dived and threw the ball at the stumps, but it was not going to be a direct throw. Dhoni placed himself in such a way that he just deflected the ball towards the stumps, and it was magic.

The square leg umpire asked the third umpire to have a look at it, and it was a no-brainer. He was short of the crease, leading to the dismissal of Narine.

It was Dhoni's awareness that led to the wicket of Narine. Had he collected the ball and taken down the stumps, it would have been too late. It is such brilliance, which makes him a wonderful wicket-keeper, one of the best in the business.
