South Africa A will finally get some play time on the field as their 10 players, who were hospitalised in Chennai pertaining to food poisoning, were released on Monday. As a result, they will face Australia A on Wednesday in the fifth ODI of the triangular series at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The fixture between Australia A and South Africa A was supposed to take place on Tuesday but the Proteas players have been given an extra day to recover from their illness completely.

South Africa A was thoroughly beaten in the last game that they had played against India A and that too by a margin of eight wickets with 74 balls to spare. The only positive that they can take away from that game is Quinton De Kock's century. They are hopeful that De Kock will be fit for their clash against Australia A on Wednesday and he would showcase a similar performance with his willow.

Australia A on the other hand had also thrashed South Africa A in the triangular series opening match by 10 wickets. The Aussies have so far remained unbeaten in this tour. In their last game against India A, they beat the latter by three wickets yet again and extended their winning streak.

Ashton Agar picked up five wickets for 39 runs in his spell of 10 overs and Gurinder Sandhu picked a couple of wickets as well. But the latter turned out to be expensive. Callum Ferguson and Adam Zampa guided Australia A over the line while they were chasing a total of 258 runs. Australia A did face a number of hiccups when the India A spinners turned the screws in the middle overs but they overcame from that position and went on to extend their undefeated streak.

South Africa A will be desperate to get some points on the board. If they would want to reach the final of the triangular series, then they will have to beat Australia A by a huge margin, which would earn them a bonus point. And also they will have to pray that Australia A beats India A in the last game of the league ahead of the final. Australia A have already reached the triangular series final.
