The first teaser of Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming Malayalam movie "Kammatipaadam" was released on the YouTube channel of Global United Media on Saturday, May 7.
The 29 second teaser features Dulquer Salmaan. The movie also has Vinayakan, Rasika Dugal, Shaun Romy, Amalda Liz, Shine Tom Chacko, Soubin Shahir, Sunny Wayn, Vinay Forrt, P Balachandran and Anjali Aneesh in significant roles.
Sources close to the movie have said that the Rajeev Ravi directorial narrates the story of an old place in Kochi that was once the heart of the city. However, due to the city's development, the area was later divided and is now known as North Giri Nagar, Kumaranashan Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Jawahar Nagar. The film is expected to depict the development in Kammatipaadam. Dulquer will be seen as Krishnan and Vinayakan plays as his best friend Gangan.
"Kammatipaadam" is being scripted by actor P Balachandran and is the production venture of Prem Menon under the banner of Global United Media. Madhu Neelakandan has handled the cinematography of the movie, for which Ajithkumar B has done the editing. Anwar Ali has penned the lyrics of the songs and K, John P Varkey and Vinayakan have composed the music.
The makers have confirmed that "Kammatipaadam" will be released on May 20.
